After a month roaming around Morocco, and this month in Egypt, I forget how “amazing” photos of the dunes look to everyone else. Maybe I should post some too. Cheers for the post and photos. Hope you’re enjoying Egypt!

Thanks Andy & yup SEA SHELLS IN THE DESERT… it used to be under water millions and millions of years ago. So damn crazy… & just beautiful.
Not millions of years ago, ~70,000 years ago great civilization existed from Sahara to Gobi, both were lush tropical inland seas.
What cool pictures. It is crazy to see the seashells and think that it used to be the bottom of some ocean. Actually while looking at the pictures I was wondering what is at the bottom of all the sand. Is it sand all the way down? But then that is my technical mind, gotta shut down and enjoy the beauty.

Andrew it’s okay to think all those things, cus I do the same damn thing… When I am out there I enjoy the beauty but can’t help but think of a million things. Like what you are wondering… oh and then yes when you see the sea shells you are like WTF?
These photos are gorgeous! Loving the ‘in-photos’ series so far.

I remember while living in Cairo, how many times I went to the desert however, not out as far as you have traveled.
it was a dream of mine however, only stayed around the Pyramids.
thank you for your photos journey I did enjoy it .
Fatimah
Thank you Fatimah, I am glad you enjoyed the photos. I can’t wait to go back to Egypt and when I do I want to live in the desert.
Great photos! Perhaps the shells were from the global flood in the days of Noah. Even Mt. Everest has shells on it.
