Music Monday – Breathe

Anyone who meets me knows I love music. I love all types… ummm okay I love most types of music. For me its about the lyrics and what it is the artist is talking about or what message they are trying to convey. I love to dissect a song and its lyrics completely. Every Monday I want to post a song that either inspires me, makes me think about the world we live in, motivates me to always be who I am or may be something I was feeling at some point. It will be a great mix of different types of music and hope it will also do the same for you. I love to think that music captures what so many of us may be feeling or want to say, but don’t know how.

LISTEN TO IT HERE – Breathe – Taylor Swift

WHY I PICKED IT – I know she may not be the best singer in the world, but Taylor Swift is hands down one of the best lyricist around today. I’ve been a fan of hers since her 1st album and even though she may write a lot about troubled relationships she is able to do so with such perfection that it can capture everything you are feeling for a certain situation. I had completely forgotten about this song, but had my iPod on shuffle the other day and it came on. It came on I stopped right there and just wanted to cry… because it seriously captures everything I am feeling right now about the situation I am in with my ex-boyfriend.  I don’t think I need to say anything else, but to read the lyrics, listen to the song and you will know what’s going on in my mind, my heart, my everything… I hate the situation we are in and it’s still been one of the toughest things I’ve dealt with in a long time and still feel like no one understands me or ever will. I just wonder why does love hurt so much sometimes? For now I guess I just have to breathe… because it’s what I have to keep on doing to move forward.
