Photo Round Up – Week 41

This is one of the 1st photos I took when I arrived to Athens. As usual on the first da walk around a city to get a feel for it and well I was already not liking it, but saw this lady holding the ballons just city there at Monestraki Square. I watched her for a minute and then snapped a photo of it. I didn't think much of it, but when I got back to the Apt I loved it. I love how she is just there holding the balloons, I love that a dog is sleeping there and love that the guy walking is eating a gyro and love that the two men next two her are also eating a gyro.

Well this is of course the famous PARTHENON it is the most important temple on the Acropolis that was dedicated to Athena who the people of Athens consider their virgin patron. It's construction began before 447BC. This thing is crazy old... and it's crazy how it is still here. I have seen a million photos of it and wanted to try and capture it at a different angle or was something a bit mor interesting. As I wondered around I saw the sun peaking through the huge columns and thought this is perfect. I took the shot and well got this. I love it.

As I was wondering around the Acropolis I saw many walls but only few with a hole... and my instinct is always to look in holes. One day I know it's not going to be good, so I did and saw the city of Athens. I decided to take a picture and got this. I love it a lot. From above you can see Athens sprawling in every direction.

"The Temple of Olympian Zeus, also known as the Olympieion or Columns of the Olympian Zeus, is a colossal ruined temple in the centre of the Greek capital Athens that was dedicated to Zeus, king of the Olympian gods." I wasn't quite impressed because this really was just columns shooting to the air, but I did manage to get a this shot of it as I was walking around.

You are probably thinking what the hell is this... well this my friends is what I see from the balcony of my apartment in Athens. Yup... I see prostitues everywhere!!! I had to get a shot of it and share it with y'all. I mean why not... it's a good shot after all... well at least I think so. The sad thing is... I don't mind what they are doing, but would really love to give them pointers on how to dress.
