Photo Round Up – Week 66 & 67

10 photo round up of what I saw/did these last 2 weeks.

Hope you all enjoy them.

WEEK 66

Bollywood Extras

I started the week off being an extra in a BOLLYWOOD movie in Mumbai. I’ve written a post all about it so you could check it out and find all the details there. I love this shot because it’s a group shot of all the extras from that day.

Blue Building in Mumbai

I’m a sucker for colorful rustic building and as soon as I saw this one I fell in love. It was just a random building I saw while walking through the neighborhood of Colaba in Mumbai.

Random bike in Mumbai.

My favorite colors in the world are RED & BLACK. Hence the color scheme of my blog & well when I saw this I had to get a photo. I know it’s not amazing, but I love it. I love that the bike is black with red rims and love that a portion of the wall is painted red with a red fire hydrant next to it.

Rickshaws of Mumbai

One of the days I was in Mumbai I visited a theme park that was about an hour out side of the city. When I arrived to cross the street you had to take an over pass & when I was crossing I stood there for a few minutes just watching the crazy traffic of Mumbai go by. I like this shot, because it gives you a glimpse of just how many rickshaws are around every corner. I made it black & white because think it looks better this way.

India Gate, Mumbai

While in Mumbai you have to walk into one of the most luxurios hotels in the world. The TAJ MAHAL PALACE. It’s huge & beautiful & is where President Obama stayed when he visited India. Well when you walk out they have a HUGE waterfall window. I loved that the view from that view was INDIA GATE. I took a few shots and this one of my favs. It looks more like a painting than a photo.

WEEK 67

Istnabul from Air

This is one of the most amazing cities from above ISTANBUL. I am glad I was able to get this shot. I have walked all over that city and seeing it from above put it in perspective… I have walked a lot there. This is a photo with two continents in it. On the right you have Europe and on the left you have Asia.

Sunset in Isanbul

I have some of the best readers in the world & I mean it. I was able to spend my 12 hour layover in Istanbul out & about seeing sides of it I had never seen. Gule picked me up we made our way to the Asian side had an amazing lunch with a view than hung out at a park then had some ice cream before catching this amazing sunset with ---- in the view. Then dinner & back to the airport I went.

Protester in Tahrir Sq.

The next day I was back in Cairo and the day after that I was back at my favorite Square in the whole world TAHRIR SQUARE. The Sq. was back at full capacity with THOUSANDS of protester upset with the recent verdict given to Mubarak for his roll in the killings during the revolution & with the results of the recent elections. I managed to capture a shot of this man on top of a light post. It's BRILLIANT... need I say more.

Sunset in Tahrir Sq.

The man above is actually the same man in this photo. While I was there I was able to watch the sunset & managed to capture this image. It’s now one of my favorite sunset shots ever. Look at him… on top of a light post waving a flag giving the peace sign. I hope nothing but the best to the people of Egypt.

Street Art in Tahrir Sq.

One of the things I was most excited about seeing when I arrived to Cairo was the street art around Tahrir Sq. I wanted to see if it had changed at all & well of course it had. So many new paintings & this is one of my favorites. I took 13 years of dance and when I see a ballerina I think of elegance, peacefulness, structure and discipline. So seeing a RIOT-er doing the same as a ballerina with one nest to them. I feel like the artist is telling us that they are just like ballerinas and the truth is I agree.
