Photo Round Up – Week 10

Before I even start… I really can’t believe I am on “WEEK 10”. It seems like just yesterday I start my adventure. I am happy to say that I wouldn’t change a thing… I am loving life just the way it is. Cheers to many more & thank you all for reading my blog (I appreciate it so much)!!!

5 photo round up of what I saw/did this week.

Hope you all enjoy them.

Some one had mention to me that when I go to Antigua I need to visit the cemetery "because it is stunning and all white". I thought okay I'll have to check it out. I am so glad I did because it is absolutely beautiful. Everything in there is white and very elaborative. They are so big & tall you could get lost in there. I love this shot because its a cross with many more crosses behind it. You also get a sense of how amazing the cemetery is.

This Mercado El Carmen one of many in Antigua, Guatemala. In this shot you can see some of the amazing textiles/crafts the indigenous people make. It is really amazing & I love it that they are all so nice (even if you don't buy anything).

This has easily become one of my favorite shots of my entire trip. I took this shot while visiting "Cerro de la Cruz" in Antigua, Guatemala. We got to the top by "Tuc Tuc" and on our way down put our thumbs out to hitch down. Well instead the two girls that picked us up invited us to a party at the very top of the mountain. How could we pass that up. We went partied and had fun on the way back a lot of children were so happy to see us and listen to music. Look at how happy they are.... Ahhh I just love this shot.

This is a shot of Volcano Pacaya in Guatemala. I hiked this volcano on Monday. It was one of my fav so far. Because it erupted in May/2010 when reach near the top it looks like you are on a whole other planet. You can see all the lava that has dried up and all the damage it did to the trees.

This is a shot of indigenous people in Santa Cruz la Laguna (Lake Atitilan) reenacting Mayan rituals. The dance lasted for ever. I absolutely love the texture and color of all the outfits.
