Photo Round Up – Week 22

5 photo round up of what I saw/did this week.

Hope you all enjoy them.

This shot got me in trouble. I had no clue I would be in Paris during the final day of "Le Tour de France". I made it to the event and it was jam packed, I saw a truck that was parked behind the crowd and saw a few people on it so I joined them as well. I took only 3 shots before the owner of the truck came out yelling at us in French. I had no clue what he was saying but everyone jumped off. I tried to get a few more pics but couldn't. In the end I did capture this shot which shows the racers going down hill on "Ave Champs de Elysee" & I love it. You can see how many racer there is and the Ave lined up with fans!

After I got kicked off the truck, I decided to make my way through the crowds and try to get a few shots close up of the racers. Well I got this awesome shot after a few tries and love it.

This is a famous Brussels landmark "Manneken Pis" or "Little Man Pis". He has been there in that corner since 1618 or 1619. This city is actually obsessed with peeing things & oh do I have a great post about it coming soon.

This is the Atomium in Brussels. "The Atomium was the main pavilion and icon of the World Fair of Brussels (1958), commonly called Expo 58. It symbolised the democratic will to maintain peace among all the nations, faith in progress, both technical and scientific and, finally, an optimistic vision of the future of a modern, new, super-technological world for a better life for mankind" - atomium.be

Traveling w/ someone is fun because they can take pictures of you with your camera. This is a shot of me a bit lost in Brussels, trying to figure out where to go next.

  9. So can we talk about what settings you had on the camera. Those are some great shots!

    • Hey Erika…. EEEEeeee love that you commented!

I have been using the green camera with the i infront of it. That automatically selects settings for what it is I am about to shoot. The settings I used to get the 2 “Tour de France” shot was in BURST mode… it takes 10 photos in one second. I then went through the 10 photos and picked the best one. I also been using the SCN setting and selecting the corresponding option with what I am taking.

The only editing I do on any of my pictures is normally minimal and is dont on Picasa (free google software). I normally will only adjust the exposure to make the object show more or just sharpen the pictures so you can see the objects in greater detail.

  10. Great shots Jaime. only thing that would have made that last photo even better would have been if you had the map upside down! 🙂
