Photo Round Up – Week 85 & 86

10 photo round up of what I saw/did these last 2 weeks.

Hope you all enjoy them.

 WEEK 85

Hin Wong Bay, Koh Tao

Oh Koh Tao and it’s million beaches… ok not million, but a lot. This is Hin Wong Bay, we went on a cloudy day and walked an hour up a mountain and over it that took us over an hour, but was worth it. The snorkeling here must have been some of the best snorkeling I have ever done in my life. We saw so many amazing fishes and just loved the clear waters and the relaxing day we had. On the way back we were caught in a down pour and hitched a ride with a stranger back to the city.

Welcome to Koh Tao sign

This is by far maybe one of my favorite “SIGN” photos ever. I mean look at it… made of wood from 1987 and then it’s nailed to an amazing old tree with a million roots. When I look at it it makes me wonder how Koh Tao must have been then with only a population of 750 & NO POLICEMAN… I mean how awesome!

Freedom Beach, Koh Tao

This is Freedom Beach from above. It was also visited on a cloudy day, but the sun did come out here and there. The waters were calm and clear… yup yet another amazing beach in Koh Tao! This is also the beach where I found the sign above.

Sunset in Koh Tao

One of the things I loved most about Koh Tao was the amazing sunsets I was able to witness. This is one of my favorite sunsets from my time there. This photo was taken from the main beach Sairee Beach where you will find a few palm trees in this shape. I love the silhouette it makes along with the boats.

Sai Nuan Beach, Koh Tao

After 10 days of partying by night and beach bumming by day it was time for a change… I wanted a break from the partying and just enjoy some down time reading and relaxing. So I moved to the other side of the island where I’d have my own lil bungalow and be sharing this beautiful beach with a few others. I was paying $11 a night and was able to enjoy this paradise and watch some amazing sunsets. Oh it was bliss.

WEEK 86

Sai Naun Beach, Thailand

Right next to my amazing beach infront of my bungalow I had a friend with a bungalow in the next resort with this view. Oh man… we spent some nights drinking here and then skinny dipping in beach and also just hanging out and watching the sunset. The waters were also so clear and calm… it was just another amazing beach of Koh Tao.

Koh Tao, Thailand

This is the same beach as the beach above. I think this is my favorite shot of the week. We were walking early in the morning and the clarity of the water was insane and it was so calm… not a single ripple it felt eerie, but what I loved most was the shadow of the palm trees in the water.

Koh Tao, Sunset

Yup yet another amazing sunset in Koh Tao. Y’all know I have a small obsession with sunsets… I just love watching them. They make me feel at peace with the world and know that I am living every day to the fullest.

Scuba Diving, Koh Tao

I tried diving for the 1st time ever in Koh Tao. I have never been interested in diving, but got a sweet deal and couldn’t pass it up so thought why not. I went under about 6 meters and within a minute I panicked and asked to go back up. The instructor was nice and understood my fear and let me just float above them and watch from above. My friend had a waterproof camera and got this shot of me and I love it. I’ll be writing more about this experience later in a full post.

Jeepney, Philippines

I’m now in the PHILIPPINES!!! Meet the JEEPNEY… it is the Philippines most popular mode of transportation. They were originally made from left over jeeps used by the US military during WWII and are now painted in amazing colors and designs. If you think this one is bright in colorful, wait till I get a better shot of one of the pimped out ones. I was able to get this shot because it was parked. The rest are on the road driving like crazy cutting through the MANILA traffic.
