Photo Round Up – Week 35

Homenatge a la Barceloneta sculpture by Rebecca Horn on the beach in Barcelona. My favorite part of this photo is not the sand or the sculpture but the CLOUDS... ahh I love love CLOUDS in photos I think they bring a whole other dimension to any photo. It was nice to spend a day strolling down the beach.

On Saturday night the girls I am staying with in Barcelona took me out to one of their fav gay bars. It is called "El Cangrejo" and before the bar turns into a mini club they have drag show performances. I took several photos and this one is by far my fav of the bunch. I just love all the darkness around her lit up beautiful face. Plus I love the outfit, make up and hair!!! Oh & i still don't know if that is a penis in between the legs of the women behind her.

Casa Batllo is one of the many buildings restored or designed by Antoni Gaudi. I could have post a picture of the whole house but instead opted for this shot that shows a bit more of the detail Gaudi, put into his work. The house is amazing, when I see it I think of a house built of bones and that the window balconies are skulls. Just look at it the color the detail is amazing.

When you walk into Park Guell from the main entrance you will walk up some stairs and then you will walk into what is a space full columns holding the terrace above. The roof of this area is lined up with mosaic white tile, but then within them in the center are some amazing unique pieces of art designed by Gaudi himself. Here you can see some a portion of this part of the park I love the colors and all the detail he put into the roof.

Again instead of showing a picture of a huge park I want to show you some of the detail Gaudi put into his work. This is a shot of the famous slithering bench above the terrace. I love that it shows the detail of the bench along with a bit of the park.
