Music Monday – Born This Way!!!

Anyone who meets me knows I love music. I love all types… ummm okay I love most types of music. For me its about the lyrics and what it is the artist is talking about or what message they are trying to convey. I love to dissect a song and its lyrics completely. Every Monday I want to post a song that either inspires me, makes me think about the world we live in, motivates me to always be who I am or may be something I was feeling at some point. It will be a great mix of different types of music and hope it will also do the same for you. I love to think that music captures what so many of us may be feeling or want to say, but don’t know how.

WHY I PICKED IT – I’ll be honest upfront I’m not a huge Lady Gaga fan. I’ll have to agree yeah some of her music is great , but I dont know I sometimes feel she tries to hard. I do love that she is herself and doesn’t hold back in anything she does. I picked this song because well today her new album “Born This Way” comes out & it’s not like she needs any more promotion, but this song has a lot to do with how I am feeling right now. Recently my good friends Jessi & Dani at Globetrotter Girls wrote a brilliant article tittled “You put your left foot in… The Travel Closet“. It talks about sometimes having to not be yourself 100% while traveling or in certain situations where you aren’t sure how others will accept you. I’ve been reading the comments and I have to agree with what another great friend of mine Giulia from Travel Reportage said “I don’t understand how nowadays there are still problems about gay couples, people should start worrying about some serious stuff. Love is never a problem.”. She is right “LOVE IS NEVER A PROBLEM”. I have been only been traveling for a little while now, but I am seeing that their are huge gay populations all over the world. How is it that people can not see we are “BORN THIS WAY”??? At first I thought this song was cheesy it was a message I already knew, but now I am so happy that this song is being heard by MILLIONS around the world. I can only hope for one day to be living in a world with no prejudice and where we can all be ourselves no matter what or where we are at.
