I think it’s safe to say that anyone that knows me knows I am a huge Kelly Clarkson fan. I am not shy about it and am very open about it. Hell my blog is even named after one of her albums/songs! I have been a fan of hers since I 1st heard “LOW” on the radio 9 years ago. Since then I have bought every album or DVD she has released, along with any magazine she is on the cover of. I have now seen her live 4 times and on Saturday finally met her. I have never been like this about any celebrity or artist. I don’t know what it is about Kelly that makes me this way. Okay no I do know it’s her personality, her voice and her lyrics. It had always been a dream of mine to meet her and it finally came true.
I spent 10 hours in the line waiting to get a VIP ticket to meet Kelly Clarkson. I was #057 & I sure did get my wristband to see her & meet her on Saturday!!!!
Around May 20th I started getting tweets and Facebook messages from my friends telling me that Kelly Clarkson was going to be coming to Houston and that you could get a chance to meet her. They sent me details of the event. After reading them I couldn’t stop EEEeee-ing because I was actually going to be in Houston for the event and could possibly make it happen. Well I did make it happen. In order to get a VIP ticket to meet Kelly you had to be one of the 1st 100 people in line to get into the new Microsoft Store at the Houston Galleria. Before I write about the concert & meeting her I want to share my experience waiting in line for 10 hours.
- 12:01am – Arrive at the Galleria and only about 50 people are in line. I’m ecstatic, but damn it’s hot as fuck in here.
- 12:15am – I’m already sweating.

12:43am – Security ask me if I want tacos (I guess my mom is right I look like I have not eaten in forever). I of course ask if they are free and they are so I ask for 2.

1:05am – No one is behind us that makes me sad yet happy because that means I know for sure I’m getting a ticket to meet her.

1:14am – Went to pee and loved the fact that I didn’t have to pay to use the restroom. Ahhh I miss Central America and Mexico already.
What was handed to us to redeem for our VIP tickets to meet Kelly Clarkson.
- 1:24am – Yay people arrived and are now behind us.

3:11am – I’ve tried going to sleep and can’t. I thought coming home meant I would spend every night on my bed at home, but nope I’m on a garage floor trying to sleep.

3:17am – Fuck I just ate a bag of Skittles, a watermelon airhead, strawberry laughy taffy and a box of Nerds. Now I’m really not going to sleep.

4:33am – OMG I’M GONNA GO CRAZY… WHY HOUSTON… WHY ARE YOU SO FUCKING HOT & HUMID???
- 4:35am – P.S. I still love you!
- 6:30am – They finally let us into the mall. Yay I’m officially #057!!!!
- 8:00am – The 1st person in line just won a laptop. That bitch…
- 9:17am – I am crashing… can’t stay awake.
- 10:13am – Yay the store is officially open and they are letting us in!
- 10:26am – I have my wristband to meet KELLY CLARKSON. EEEEEEeeeeeee~

Saturday finally came around and even though the concert was not until 3pm we (me & my best friend Jessica) were at the Galleria at 11am. I wanted to make sure we got front row. The line started forming at noon and at 1pm they let us in and sure enough we did get front row. Finally the wait was over a little after 3pm my girl Kelly Clarkson walked on stage. The crowd went wild!!!! I couldn’t stop screaming like a little girl and then I kept telling Jessica “DAMN SHE LOOKS GOOD & HAS LOST A LOT OF WEIGHT (hello we all know she was thick for a while & I loved her no matter what) OMG LOOK AT HER ASS IT’S HUGE AND FUCKING HOT”. Kelly’s got that country girl booty it’s big… jajaja!!! I kept screaming and couldn’t believe this.
She sang 6 songs:

- MY LIFE WOULD SUCK WITH OUT YOU

After her performance she left quickly and the people with the red wristbands were told to go upstairs and get in line to meet her. We made our way upstairs and got in line. I still couldn’t believe it I was about to meet Kelly Clarkson, my all time idol and favorite singer. I was in heaven… finally they started letting us in and we were told that we couldn’t take pictures with our camera that a profesional would take them and upload them to Facebook and then from there we could download them. We were also told she was not going to be signing anything it’s a meet and greet and will be handed a picture she has already signed. I was kinda bummed about that because I wanted her to sign my copy of My December. It was okay I was just happy to meet her. It was finally my turn and this is what went down.
Me: OMG KELLY IM A HUGE FAN OF YOURS
Kelly: Aww thanks! You have a great smile. (I couldn’t stop smiling).
Me: Thanks (while hugging her).
Kelly: Okay lets take our picture.
Me: Okay.
Kelly: It was nice to meet you:
Me: Ummm before I go can we take a goofy picture?
Kelly: Yes sure what do you want to do?
Me: Umm something crazy.
Kelly: Okay.
Me: Thank you so much!
Yeah that was it… lol!!! It happened so fast and the stupid guards kept rushing us… so I didn’t have a chance to say anything else. I wanted to tell her that her song “MAYBE” is the best song in the world and that her album “My December” is the best album ever and that I love her a lot, but at the heat of the moment it didn’t happen. I was just in shock that I was meeting her and that I hugged her that I couldn’t even gather my thoughts. I don’t care though I am just so glad I was finally able to meet KELLY CLARKSON. She was as beautiful as I thought she would be and she was as nice as I thought she would be. I can not wait for her to put out a new single soon and for her new album to come out. I know she does always tour around the world so I hope she is touring Asia while I am there. If that is the case my RTW trip may turn into a chase KC around the world trip…lol!!! No but honestly I just love this women so much and meeting her did not change my perspective of her at all. I still love her just as much if not more now. Ahhh 2011 has been the best year of my life with my RTW trip going well so far & meeting Kelly Clarkson. I could not ask for anything else in life… I’m 100% happy!!!
Wait now if I can only get Kelly Clarkson to read my blog… Hmmm?

Kelly seems like an awesome person all-around. A couple of summers ago, my mom and I went to see “Wicked” in New York City. We won tickets to sit in the front row, and at intermission, we noticed a large group of people gathered a handful of rows behind us. I went up to investigate, and it was none other than Kelly Clarkson, signing autographs and taking photos with kids during the intermission of a Broadway show. It made me like her even more to see her being so gracious with her fans, even when she was clearly trying to enjoy a private night out!

Ok, this is like I wrote it! haha. Maybe is by far my favorite song and My December is my favorite album. I really liked reading about your trip. I loved this, so funny. I have an unexplainable obsession with her too and my friends get so annoyed. She performed in NYC at a private concert and I tried so hard to get in and was unsucessful. I was pissed at her for about 2 days and then got over it. I try not to be an asshole with music, but I could not help but download the leaked tracks. So amazing. Anyway, I loved your blog.
