Music Monday – Don’t Blink

Anyone who meets me knows I love music. I love all types… ummm okay I love most types of music. For me its about the lyrics and what it is the artist is talking about or what message they are trying to convey. I love to dissect a song and its lyrics completely. Every Monday I want to post a song that either inspires me, makes me think about the world we live in, motivates me to always be who I am or may be something I was feeling at some point. It will be a great mix of different types of music and hope it will also do the same for you. I love to think that music captures what so many of us may be feeling or want to say, but don’t know how.

WHY I PICKED IT – It’s funny I like so many Kenny Chesney songs yet I do not own any of his music. I may need to buy his greatest hits soon or something. Anyway I picked this song because it is simple. Life goes by so fast that most of the time we are just sleeping through it doing what needs to be done to survive and make it to the next day. I think we need to take this song into account and remember “when your hourglass runs out of sand… You can’t flip it over and start again… Take every breathe God gives you for what it’s worth”. Life is short be sure you are living in the moment and living a life that you are happy with.
