Music Monday – It’s My Life

Anyone who meets me knows I love music. I love all types… ummm okay I love most types of music. For me its about the lyrics and what it is the artist is talking about or what message they are trying to convey. I love to dissect a song and its lyrics completely. Every Monday I want to post a song that either inspires me, makes me think about the world we live in, motivates me to always be who I am or may be something I was feeling at some point. It will be a great mix of different types of music and hope it will also do the same for you. I love to think that music captures what so many of us may be feeling or want to say, but don’t know how.

WHY I PICKED IT – I had heard this song many times, but never knew who sang it. The other day my cousin posted this song on my Facebook wall and said it reminded her of me so much. I listened to it again and umm yes this is so me. I love the lyrics to this song because they describe how life should be lived. For me in this case it is me “My heart is like an open highway … I did it my way – I just want to live while I’m alive -‘Cause it’s my life!”. That is how I feel and I hope that you see it that way as well. It doesn’t me you have to travel the world it just means live your life how you want to live it and be happy. Like I’ve mentioned many times… in the end the only thing that matters is that you are happy!
