Music Monday – The River

Anyone who meets me knows I love music. I love all types… ummm okay I love most types of music. For me its about the lyrics and what it is the artist is talking about or what message they are trying to convey. I love to dissect a song and its lyrics completely. Every Monday I want to post a song that either inspires me, makes me think about the world we live in, motivates me to always be who I am or may be something I was feeling at some point. It will be a great mix of different types of music and hope it will also do the same for you. I love to think that music captures what so many of us may be feeling or want to say, but don’t know how.

I know this song has a music video to it, but I can’t find it. I searched & searched and nothing. I also couldn’t even find a song with the lyrics playing along. I know Garth is harsh in letting his stuff on the net. So this will do. Hope you take a second and listen to it.

WHY I PICKED IT – I’m not sure how many of you read the lyrics of the songs I post. I assume some of you do, anywho I bolded two parts of this song. Read them… yes that is life… for most of us. We dream and our dreams change, but most of the time we put it off for tomorrow or another day and then before we know it to much time has passed. We do have to learn from whats behind us and move ahead to make our dreams happen. I picked this song because I think it describes what most of us allow to happen to us while we live our lives. Sometimes we do sit on the shoreline and just watch our dreams flow by. I said it before and I will continue to repeat it… what ever your dream is GO FOR IT!!! Do what is going to make you happy RIGHT NOW not tomorrow. Life is short and we need to make things happen today instead of putting them off. So go ahead listen to this song & listen closely. It’s such a good song about life. Gosh I miss Garth… I wish he would come out of retirement already, but I know he’s happy with that.
