Music Monday – Is There Life Out There

Anyone who meets me knows I love music. I love all types… ummm okay I love most types of music. For me its about the lyrics and what it is the artist is talking about or what message they are trying to convey. I love to dissect a song and its lyrics completely. Every Monday I want to post a song that either inspires me, makes me think about the world we live in, motivates me to always be who I am or may be something I was feeling at some point. It will be a great mix of different types of music and hope it will also do the same for you. I love to think that music captures what so many of us may be feeling or want to say, but don’t know how.

WHY I PICKED IT – Sometimes I get emails from people who love what I am doing, but let me know they can’t do it for “X” reason. I understand most people are in completely different situations than I am or was before I started this trip. With out saying many words I think they question them selves in wanting to know IF THERE IS LIFE OUT THERE from the current situation they are in. I don’t want to answer that question because I am sure they already know the answer to it. What I want to let them know is to make the most of the current situation they are in and make thing happen for them that will make them happy. I picked this song because when I chatted with this person I thought of Reba in this video… wondering the same thing. I always turn to music when I am feeling something… When you find a song that describes what you are going through or feeling it’s like therapy. It’s FREE therapy and that’s why I love MUSIC. It can help you out no matter how you are feeling. Take a minute and watch the music video to this song… this video tells a story of Reba wanting more, but ends up making the most of what she has to get to where she wants to be.  I love old school Reba (okay and new Reba too) and I love country music and country music videos because they tell a story. This song and video are both inspirational for me & for people who aren’t sure yet what or how they can make the most of what they have. My favorite line in the video is when she says “I learned more from the stains then I did the paper.” Ahh it’s so damn true… we learn more from our mistakes then anything else.
