Music Monday – Life Ain’t Always Beautiful

Anyone who meets me knows I love music. I love all types… ummm okay I love most types of music. For me its about the lyrics and what it is the artist is talking about or what message they are trying to convey. I love to dissect a song and its lyrics completely. Every Monday I want to post a song that either inspires me, makes me think about the world we live in, motivates me to always be who I am or may be something I was feeling at some point. It will be a great mix of different types of music and hope it will also do the same for you. I love to think that music captures what so many of us may be feeling or want to say, but don’t know how.

WHY I PICKED IT – I have to admit recently I have been in my own little bubble… what bubble? The bubble of wow my life is great and the world is amazing and everything is BEAUTIFUL. Through out my whole trip I have been keeping up with some of the current events going on in the Middle East & around the world. Well the other day as I was working (on my blog)… I came across this post “Syria Under Siege” it includes 26 photographs of what is happening in Syria right now. I cried… I literally started crying. I got upset and felt powerless. I am right here around the corner from Syria and can’t do a thing about what is going on there. After Egypt, Syria was the second country I was looking forward to visit in the Middle East. After seeing those pictures it reminded me that “Life Ain’t Always Beautiful” and remembered this beautiful song by Gary Allan. I have had my own struggles in life… and trust me MANY of them. In the end we have to remember what this song says “But the struggles make you stronger… And the changes make you wise… And happiness has its own way… Of takin’ its sweet time” It’s so true… if you are having an struggles in your life right now or not feeling as happy listen to this song it will help you understand and look at the bigger picture.
