Music Monday

Anyone who meets me knows I love music. I love all types… ummm okay I love most types of music. For me its about the lyrics and what it is the artist is talking about or what message they are trying to convey. I love to dissect a song and its lyrics completely. Every Monday I want to post a song that either inspires me, makes me think about the world we live in, motivates me to always be who I am or may be something I was feeling at some point. It will be a great mix of different types of music and hope it will also do the same for you. I love to think that music captures what so many of us may be feeling or want to say, but don’t know how.

WHY I PICKED IT – Y’all know I love Tim McGraw, he is one of my favorite singers in the world. I love his voice and love so many of his songs because the lyrics are very powerful. This song is a bit different I love it because it’s very simple. I mean really… if you listen to this song or read the lyrics you will get it instantly. We all have the power to be still and flashback to any moment in time and reminisce the good the bad or the anything. The last few days I spent them in Koh Tao in my own little bungalow away from just about everything. I would walk into town for dinner with friends and that was about it. I had so much time to think about things and think about my life, but most of all I just relaxed at the beach or in my hammock and was still. I just thought about this adventure I am on called life and realized I may never understand it at all. Like the lyrics say

“When this road gets crazy
And tries to break me
And I’ve had all I can stand
I can close my eyes no matter where I am
And just be still”

but love that fact that at any moment in time I could just be still and remember any of the memories I have made in my life. I have so many old memories new memories and they are not all so great, but every memory made good or bad has made me who I am today and happy for them. Do you know what I mean about being still and going to any moment in time? I mean that’s a pretty powerful capability we all have.
