Anyone who meets me knows I love music. I love all types… ummm okay I love most types of music. For me its about the lyrics and what it is the artist is talking about or what message they are trying to convey. I love to dissect a song and its lyrics completely. Every Monday I want to post a song that either inspires me, makes me think about the world we live in, motivates me to always be who I am or may be something I was feeling at some point. It will be a great mix of different types of music and hope it will also do the same for you. I love to think that music captures what so many of us may be feeling or want to say, but don’t know how.

WHY I PICKED IT – 1st I know it says “I’m just a girl” and that I’m not a girl, so just change it to what you are (in my case I change it too “man”). 2nd yes I picked a Taylor Swift song. I am a huge fan of Taylor because she writes and sings all of her music. I love her even more because some of her lyrics are just amazing. I picked this song because recently I have been emailing with one of my silent readers (the ones that read but don’t comment) and it seems that at the moment this person is not sure what he/she wants. That is 100% okay I think we all go through that. I know for the longest time I was not sure what I wanted to do with myself and in life in general. I remember I would jam to this song in my car because it is how I felt at that time. She made me feel that it is okay to not know what you want. You just have to walk ahead, be strong know you may be wrong but life goes on. We all have “A Place In This World”, but it is up to us to find where and its not a race to get there.
I’m not sure if I’ve heard this song, but it reads really nice. Nothing to do with the song, but a coworker told me the other day that she thinks I look like Kelly Clarkson. I don’t think I do at all, but it made me think of you.

I really love Taylor Swift. People make fun of me cause she’s young and she’s country and/or pop, but the fact that she writes and co-writes all her stuff is really admirable. She is a true artist, so it doesn’t matter if sometimes her songs might be silly, who has only perfect songs!

Love me some Taylor Swift. I saw her at a place called the OC Fairgrounds where she opened for LeAnn Rimes. This was back just after the first album came out. She is fantastic in person and I am a huge fan of all of her music.
