HAPPY NEW YEAR from ISTANBUL, TURKEY!!!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~

IT’S MIDNIGHT IN ISTANBUL, TURKEY…

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

So yes for me it is midnight & now 2012!!! I wanted to write a long awesome thoughtful post for tonight but I am going to keep it short instead. I would just like to thank each of you for reading my blog, commenting & emailing me. 2011 is said & done…  & for me it was the best year of my life! For the first time I was just about HAPPY the ENTIRE YEAR. I know crazy who the hell is HAPPY a whole YEAR…. well this guy was! The only reason it was, was because I let my thoughts and dreams consume me and set out to do what I wanted to do. I’m not saying this to sound cocky or rub into anyones face. I am saying it because even though it’s easier said than done… it is 100% POSSIBLE!

Whatever your resolution is or whatever it is that is going to make you happy… GO FOR IT!!! Life is to damn short to NOT be happy… live life on your terms! If you want a new car or home make it happen… if you want to divorce your partner cus you are no longer happy make it happen… if you want to go back to school make it happen… if you want to quit your job sell everything and travel the world make it happen. Most of us live in places where it is possible to do anything we set our mind too so go for it!!! Live life to the fullest…

On that note… I would like to let you all know I am going to be away from my blog for a week or two. Ahhh I know I am sorry… I can hear the screams now. Don’t worry though I will be back and back with a vengeance!!! The reason I am going to step away for a bit, is for a few reasons. I am only going to be in Turkey about 2 weeks and want to make the most of it. Also my girls from Barcelona are going to be here for a week and I know we will be very busy the next few days. An other reason is because I am normally 2 weeks behind on my blog so I can write and not feel rushed and because I spent a month in Athens I am all caught up. So this will give me time to go out there have fun and gather thoughts for my post on Turkey!!!

In the mean time… I have spent a little over 24 hours in Istanbul and have already got some amazing shots!!! I leave you with these 5 photos and one more thought at the end.

The city of Istanbul!

Random tiles with the turkish flag!

The Blue Mosque at Sunset!

Turkish lamps, Istanbul, Turkey!

Tram on Istiklal, Istanbul!

Hope you enjoyed the photos!!! Since I will be away for a week or two I just want to remind you that I have over a years worth of post you can go through.

If you want ADVENTURE I have ADVENTURE

If you want THOUGHTS I have THOUGHTS

If you want TIPS I have TIPS

If you want FOOD I have FOOD

If you want XXX I have XXX

If you want BUDGET I have BUDGET

If you want MUSIC I have MUSIC

If you want PHOTOS I have PHOTOS

Yup I have just about everything and if I am missing anything let me know what you would like and I will try and make it happen!!! My last piece of advice is please DON’T DRINK & DRIVE, I used to do it and am lucky I never hurt anyone or myself. So go on enjoy the new year and make 2012 YOURS… if I can help ya let me know. I would be more than happy to do so. Thanks again for following along on the crazy adventure of mine!!!

…Happy New Year…

~I love you all~

  10. New Year in Istanbul, you lucky thing! Now, get onto those Turkish men – I need some more of your XXX Travel Stories in my life haha! You need to beat last year’s, erm, “encounter” on a chicken bus – and you have roughly 359 days in which to do it!

    • Tom… omg I am loving it… like tons. I hope I get one of these Turkish men… I am in love with them. They are seriously so damn beautiful. Oh & I will try and trump that one but am sure it will be hard to do so… that story set the bar too high…lol!!!

  11. Get me a turkish lamp while you are there… thanks! I’m so glad reading how happy you are there – you sprang back to life in turkey – seriously!

Miss your face. Was thinking about our Agua Azul vid the other day. 🙂

Oh & yes I really did spring back to life here… I think I needed the month break in Athens. It did me well & it helps that Turkey is an AMAZING country. Already near the top… as my fav.

I miss y’all too a lot. Ahh Agua Azul was so much fun. I hope we see each other again soon!!!

  12. Happy New Year! Epic post and love the vintage filter applied to the photos. There’s just something about the analog look that’s so arresting. Looking forward to more from you breakaway in 2012!
