Bye Barcelona… see you in Istanbul!!!

So yeah I’m buzzing…. damn I feel like that is how most of my post have been starting recently. Well I am and so what. Last time I was buzzing I gave you something from my journal about how I was feeling in Ibiza. Well now I am writing straight to you… Mr Breakaway Backpacker readers & Jaime. Yes & Jaime because sometimes I am not just writing to y’all I am writing to me.

So ummm yeah after a good time in Ibiza… I am back in Barcelona. I got here with no sleep. I was literally up for 24hrs straight. I got here and was happy that I knew my way around the city… and was going back to my friend’s apartment. I loved it… I felt at home all over again in Barcelona! I arrived and was excited to see my friend again I told her I needed sleep and well she let me sleep. After all we had no plans until 8pm… when I when the 4 of us were meeting up for dinner! I woke up at 5pm went to a cyber café was online for a bit then came back… moments later she arrived from enjoying a day out in the city. We opened a bottle of wine I had bought for the last time we were all-together and started drinking and chatting away.

Moments later the girls arrived… and well the night went splendid. I loved it… we had planned to do a nice dinner, but instead thought why not buy some beer and some Doner Kebabs bring them back to the apartment and enjoy our last night together mellow and chatting away. So umm yes that is what we did…

The great night sadly… had to come to an end… and well you bet right I cried again… okay I really didn’t cry, but I got a lot of tears. However they were tears of joy because during the night we chatted that yes for sure we were going to all see each other again in ISTANBUL… for NEW YEARS!!! EEEeeee it wasn’t a goodbye it was a “SEE YOU LATER” again. I am so excited… I can’t believe it! That means my plans are going to change like crazy because I don’t have a clue what I am going to do with MY DECEMBER (jajajaja the name of my favorite album in the world) this time around. I will figure it out, but I am happy that I will be spending my new years with people I know and I love.

You know they say a city doesn’t make a city, but the people you meet make the city and well that is true. That is why I am saying “Bye Barcelona… see you in Istanbul.” The thing that made Barcelona amazing and feel like home is what I will be seeing in Istanbul and can’t wait.

– SOBER JAIME NOW WRITING A FEW DAYS LATER –

Oh & so now I need your help… I really have no clue what to do after Rome. I will be there until the end of November. So I need to figure out what to do with December 1 – December 27. I wanna be in Istanbul a few days before New Years to get aquatinted. I don;t know if I should go to Eastern Europe or go straight to Greece? Right now I am thinking maybe visit Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia then get down to Athens and fly to Istanbul? Ugh I have no clue… I hate planning… I hate it… so y’all help me!!! Oh & have any of you been to Istanbul for New Years…. How is it? Any tips?

–JAIME’S THOUGHTS A FEW DAYS AFTER THE UPDATE ABOVE–

Maybe I am just going to rent an apartment in Athens and settle down for a bit… or maybe I am going to find a PRIEST to live with in Rome… I don’t know what I wanna do with December and I need to figure it out or maybe I don’t maybe in Rome I will find the love of my life and spend a month with him? <<<== That has got to be the longest sentence in the world, but that’s how my thoughts are long run on sentences.

Thanks in advance!

  1. Use December to save some coin. Good idea, huh?

Better yet, let’s talk about this in person in a few days. How cool is that?!

    • I know I need to save some $$$$ for sure! Hmmm I will figure something out, but yes better yet lets talk about this in PERSON in a very short few days!

  2. I say either what Kent said, use Dec to save money, or Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Greece. The eastern countries shouldn’t be too expensive plus it’s low season for tourism so that should make things cheaper too.

    • Yeah I do need to save money… Europe is hitting the bank account pretty hard. Yeah I am thinking Eastern Countries to save a bit of money. I’ll let ya know what I decide to do soon!

  3. Ibiza is incredible huh!? But so is Barcelona…if I were you I wouldn’t leave Spain!

Oh Andi I loved Ibiza, but must go back during SUMMER!!! As for Spain I would love to stay there for ever, but had to move on. I am now in Italy enjoying La Dolce Vita!

  4. awwwww 🙂

  5. What about Portugal? Lisbon was super cheap, we stayed there for three weeks and loved it! And I think it’s still kinda warm there… I haven’t met a single person who was too impressed by Athens, so I’m not sure if you’d like it enough to spend a month there?

    • At Dani… ummm it’s too late. I have booked my plane ticket to Athens and have booked an Apt for a month. We’ll see how it goes… hope I like it and if not oh well will be a great time to do a whole lot of nothing.

Your “December” will be amazing wherever you are. You have been sober for over “3 months” now and not in a “hole” and “maybe” one day I’ll meet up with you. Don’t be “haunted” that you are without family because “Judas” has placed all those wonderful new people in your life to help you through “Irvin”.

*by sober I mean you did your breakaway!

    Missing you
