600 days into my “BREAKAWAY” & I couldn’t be happier!!!

Today is my 600th day on the road… 600th!!! As I lay here writing this my mind can’t grasp it… I mean I really just can’t believe it. When I pause to think about what I have seen & done in the last 600 days I freak the fuck out because it’s just insane, but smile because I’m living my dream and loving every minute of it. I could sit here and write a novel about how I feel right now, but instead just wanna share that I couldn’t be happier.

Even though I know the end of my trip is nearing… and the thought of that scares me I love that I don’t feel lost in life anymore and that I know exactly what I want and will do (more on that later). I feel at ease about my life and every decision I have ever made, because I know it has brought me to where I am today. I know I say this all the time, but seriously people… find happiness and embrace is. Remember life isn’t complicated we make it complicated. Do what makes you happy and make the most of the one chance we get at life. So anyway now I just wanna make the most of the few more months I have on the road and continue to make sure I am genuinely happy.

600 days of travel.

Celebrated my 600th day on the road in Boracay, Philippines (my 25th country).

Yes I’m back at the beach. I’ll be here for about two weeks enjoying the white sand & crystal clear waters.

Thanks again for following my crazy adventure around the world and remember if you need anything just let me know, because I will always be happy to help any of you out.

I have tons more to write about that I haven’t been able too and I know for a fact my travels aren’t over yet. As for how long before I start planning a trip like this again, let me be honest and tell you I have planned them already. I have no clue how I will make them happen, but I know I will. I plan on spending a year in Australia living and working and also a year exploring all of South America and a year exploring a lot of Africa… oh yes 3 different trips that I wanna do in my life time and well I will make sure I do do them. I love that you tell your friends about me seriously… and yes we are friends any reader of mine I consider a friend and hope one day to meet.

  21. Congrats Jaime! Glad to be part of your happiness (that is all that matters, right?). I can’t imagine how many memories you have created in the past 600 days. The most I have traveled continuosly is 30 days and I felt like my head was going to explode because of all the new things I experienced. I bet you will have a lot to talk when you get back home.

  22. WOw, time is running so fast Jaime, when i first read your blog. You were still in a chicken bus somewhere in Latin America and talking about your bus escapade. LOL. I can’t believed you’ve reach my country. Nice to hear you’ve had a very enjoyable stay here. Truly, Boracay is really amazing, my friends and I manage to visit this place at least ones a year.. A sweet runaway place to relax and enjoy from hassle & toxic metropolis. Sad to say i was not able to follow your stories, we should have meet and talk over a beer.. I’m looking forward for your second return..

    • Jaime Davila says:

I know right Tony, it’s crazy? I mean like very crazy. Man the Chicken Bus and having so many crazy escapades were so long ago. You are so lucky you have amazing beaches like Boracay or El Nido just a short flight away from you. The Philippines really is a paradise.
