He had a name.

Hi y’all it’s been a while… over 7 years.

I had to Google how to log in to WordPress because I couldn’t remember, but once I did though the password came to me without missing a beat. This is strange because I thought I’d never write a blog post again. This is going to be hard, but I am doing something I need to do for myself… to be able to move forward. I’ll share what I shared on my personal Facebook page just now…

Can’t believe today marks 2 years since your passing. You knew we’d never be together because the world wasn’t ready for a love story like ours, but even though we were a world apart we were always there for each other. We had a connection neither of us could understand & we stayed soul mates.

The memories we made are some of the memories I cherish most. This year has been one of the toughest years of my life and the one person I’d love to talk to & help guide me isn’t here.

I always thought I’d see you one more time in my lifetime. To hug, have a beer & laugh at the crazy things we did during the year I spent in Egypt. I know you’re resting in paradise because you had a gentle soul grounded in reality (me forever the dreamer… you’d laugh cus that hasn’t changed), with a smile that would light up any room!

Grief is a peculiar thing & I don’t think I have been able to grieve your loss properly. I learned to compartmentalize our story when I came back home and I carried on with life. I also learned to compartmentalize your passing, but recently the weight of it has turned into an avalanche of emotions & need a release.

The reason I’m sharing this today is because I know there is no right way to grieve, but know sharing this will help me move forward. Anyone who met me during the years I spent traveling around the world heard about you. Many are still my friends on here. I want everyone to know that one of the most amazing humans I had the privilege of meeting is no longer with us, take a moment and remember you… even though they never met you.

1989 – 2021
Until we meet again, rest in paradise Mohsen.
XO – Your TB. 💚

I reread the above a million times without knowing how to summarize what I feel in a few sentences. I felt like this needed to be shared here directly too because this is where I shared our story and like I said above to help me move forward and HEAL.

As I sit here at my dinning room table writing this I am in tears. I am reminded that we all truly walk around with wounds and scars we don’t talk about. We walk around with the battle wounds of life as we carry on with life. It’s a daily struggle and on many days you have to put your best face on and just keep going.

I’d love to summarize what I have been up to the last 7 years, but don’t think I can. They have been an amazing, beautiful, joyful and even heartbreaking experience.  I continue to live life the way I told myself I would that March 1st of 2011 when I left everything behind and decided to “Breakaway”. I am currently living another dream of mine. I bought a beautiful home in Houston and am enjoying life to the fullest that I can. Oh and trust I travel every chance I get!

I am at a crossroads again in life (grieving a beautiful relationship) and it’s been tough, but I know I am okay. I have lived an amazing life and I have continued to work hard to have the simple life I have always wanted and am currently living it. Recently I also decided to achieve new goals. I’ve written them down and I am going to make them happen one step at a time.

I can go on and on because I know I have a lot to say but I will leave y’all with this…

Life is fragile and we are reminded that life is short when a loved one passes away, but have to also remind ourselves that it is the longest thing we are going to do. Take a moment, reflect and think about what you want FOR YOU and try to make the best of it. This year has been a year of self reflection for me and I am digging deep to become a better version of myself.

And Mohsen before today I never mentioned your name or shared a photo of you on here. The world deserves to see who you are and know your name. You will never be forgotten.  XO – Your Teddy Bear

Island Trips: Take a boat trip to nearby islands such as Giftun Island or Paradise Island. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing on pristine beaches.

Glass-Bottom Boat Tours: If you prefer to stay dry while still observing marine life, consider a glass-bottom boat tour. These boats have transparent floors, allowing you to see the colorful fish and coral without getting wet.

Fishing Trips: Charter a fishing boat and try your luck at catching some of the Red Sea’s abundant fish species. Many tours provide all the necessary equipment and offer a chance to enjoy the serene waters while waiting for a bite.

Submarine Tours: For a unique underwater experience, consider taking a submarine tour. These tours allow you to descend below the surface in a comfortable, air-conditioned submarine and observe the marine life up close through large viewing windows.

Day Trips to Cairo or Luxor: If you have time, consider a day trip to Cairo to see the pyramids and the Egyptian Museum, or to Luxor to explore the Valley of the Kings and Karnak Temple.
